Our team consists of young proffesionals who have been members in Solar Boat teams of their former universities. By combining our knowledge we have build a highly innovative boat and gave sustainable mobility a boost!
We are DB20 Racing Team, consisting of four students with different companies have built a solar boat type V20. We have already participated in various competitions such as the Dutch Solar Challenge, where we have achieved the 2nd place and a great race in Monaco, where we have achieved the 3rd place!
Solar boat races have been organized for more than 10 years. Innovation is central in these races. By 2017, the Spectrum Solarteam will compete in the SolarSportOne challenge, the Monaco Solar Boat challenge and the Eneco Solar Boat Race.
This team consists of former members of Sinnergy Solarteam ROC Friese Poort Drachten and NHL Solarboat Racing team. The team is strengthened by old participant Kees Zwaan. The strength of the team is that there is much diversity within the team and therefore they complement each other perfectly.
With the New Nexus V20 will we participate in a progressive and ongoing adventure that will bring our team building, knowledge, sustainability and fun!
The main idea of NHL Solarboat Racing is to create continuity at NHL University of Applied Sciences in the field of sailing with solar-powered boats. Therefore integrating research and results from research in education is important to keep students involved and enthusiastic about the project.
A mix of environmental science students at HBO and MBO. The team was founded in 2007 by a collaboration between VHL and Nordwin College. This team has sustainability as a high priority, even so far that they are sponsored by a sustainable brewery.
